Harley Row Clinic is pleased to announce an upcoming interactive workshop exploring how nutrition and functional medicine can support children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Taking place on Wednesday, 22nd April, with sessions available at 9:30am and 7:30pm, this 75-minute workshop (online) is designed for parents, teachers, and caregivers seeking practical, evidence-informed ways to better support children with ADHD.Â

A Broader Approach to ADHD Support
Raising or supporting a child with ADHD can present a range of challenges—from difficulties with focus and emotional regulation to disrupted sleep and fluctuating energy levels. While conventional approaches often focus on behavioural strategies and medication, there is growing interest in how nutrition and underlying biological factors may also play a role.
This workshop introduces a functional medicine perspective, which looks beyond symptoms to consider the wider picture of a child’s health and development.
Understanding the Link Between Nutrition and Brain Function
Participants will gain insight into how diet, lifestyle habits, and physiological factors can influence attention, mood, and learning.
The session will explore:
- The relationship between nutrients, gut health, and brain function
- How certain dietary patterns may support—or hinder—focus and behaviour
- The role of sleep, energy regulation, and daily routines in managing ADHD symptoms
- How targeted nutrition strategies and lifestyle adjustments can be implemented
There will also be a discussion around the potential role of appropriate laboratory testing in identifying underlying imbalances that may impact a child’s wellbeing.
Practical Strategies for Everyday Life
Importantly, the workshop is designed to be both informative and practical. Attendees will be guided through how to identify helpful and unhelpful nutrition and lifestyle patterns, and will leave with realistic, actionable strategies to support children at home and in school environments.
Who Should Attend?
This workshop is suitable for:
- Parents and carers of children with ADHD
- Teachers and education professionals
- Anyone supporting a child’s learning, behaviour, and wellbeing
