Dr Jennifer Roxburg

Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

Dr Jennifer Roxburgh is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist in CAMHS and Neurodevelopmental Services for Children and Young People.

She trained in the West of Scotland gaining expertise and experience in diagnosing and managing a wide range of mental health and neurodevelopmental presentations. Dr Roxburgh finds great value in collaborating within a multi-disciplinary team and believes this can ensure the best standards of care.

Dr Roxburgh will see children and young people concerned with the following symptoms:

  • Difficulties with attention and concentration, hyperactive or impulsive behaviour (ADHD)
  • Emotional difficulties such as anxiety (worries, fears), low mood, irritability and anger.
  • Behaviour change.
  • Sleep difficulties.

She provides psychiatric assessments and ADHD assessments and has a particular interest in ADHD in young women and girls.

Dr Roxburgh is passionate about ‘integrative psychiatry’, combining conventional and holistic health approaches to support neurodivergence and mental health difficulties.
She may recommend prescribed medications (such as stimulant medication for ADHD symptoms) alongside functional medicine testing and interventions, providing a personalised treatment plan to achieve optimal health outcomes.

She emphasises the significance of environmental and lifestyle factors including nutrition, sleep, exercise, meaningful activities and connection, all in line with Harley Row Clinic’s ethos of providing a three-fold approach.

At home she is mum to two neurodivergent kids. As a family they enjoy musical theatre, experimenting with gluten free baking, and getting outdoors with their dog.
