Julia Dvinskaya

Dip.Biog.Couns, Reg. BACP Accred. Biographical Counselling and Coaching

Julia Dvinskaya is a Biographical Counselling and Coaching practitioner with a Diploma in Biographical Counselling and accreditation from the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

Biographical Counselling and Coaching is a comprehensive approach that works with the whole person, not just their current symptoms.

The process begins with finding ‘starting question’ as a guide and focus for each session. Julia tailors her approach to suit the individual’s needs and life circumstances, offering either focused 8-12 sessions approach or longer therapeutic periods.

Biographical Counselling and Coaching involves working on different levels, including the physical body (daily rhythms and self-care practices), thoughts, feelings, motivations, and inspirations. Julia utilises tools such as the biography chart, which provides insights into life themes, increases understanding of one’s potential and how to achieve it, and supports stepping into future life tasks with greater confidence.

Julia specialises in supporting individuals and families dealing with symptoms of ADHD or other neurodiversity diagnoses. She understands that when someone in the family has such a diagnosis, it can impact the entire family circle, and she offers comprehensive support as part of Harley Row Clinic’s multidisciplinary treatment programme.

In the sessions, Julia Dvinskaya and her clients explore how current struggles have manifested in the individual’s earlier life and identify coping strategies that have been used before, noting what has been helpful and what hasn’t. Together, they explore and practise more beneficial ways of living and being; enabling the client to express themselves confidently in personal, social, and professional relationships.
